Mother's Day Run/Walk Success despite the rain
The 12th edition of the Topsfield 6 - Hour Run/ Walk for Breast Cancer took place once again.
This year the rains tried to wash us away but its just a little water.
The fundraiser is annually held at Bradley Palmer State Park and raises funds for The Hunt Breast Center. Over $2,500
has been raised through pledges and contributions to fight breast cancer. Many thanks go out to the park officials
and volunteers of Gil's Athletic Club, who host the event.
The run was won by David Holtz, running 38.4 miles in the 6 hour time frame. On the female
side G.A.C. club member Lori Lebel of Danvers, MA ran 32 miles to take the victory. Lori is training for Western States.
It should be a bit drier there.
