Mother's Day Run/Walk Success for 23rd year
The twenty-third edition of the Topsfield 6 - Hour Run/ Walk for Breast Cancer took place again this year.
The fundraiser is annually held at Bradley Palmer State Park and raises funds for The Hunt Breast Center. All monies
raised through pledges and contributions are to fight breast cancer. Many thanks go out to the volunteers of Gil's Athletic Club, who host the event.
The run was won by Greg Esbitt, running 40 miles in the 6 hour time limit while 2015 winner Dierdre Lowe and 2016 winner Kristen Smith in the women's division finished together with 37 miles.
Rain and a muddy course made for tough running and fewer runners and walkers this year. Thanks to all participants!
